Space Backyard
It reads as a folk-tale and sounds like a nursery rhyme. This is the story of a pompous King, so oblivious to the needs of his subjects as to throw a party to keep them calm and obedient. They played Statues all night long. At dawn the King was naked.
Space Backyard is a collective of artists founded in 2016 (Alessandro Arcidiacono, Simone Tranchina, Gianluca Pandolfo, Maddalena Grattarola). Hybridisations of real events and fictional ones are depicted in their games using fractured narratives with a pinch of magical realism, and minimalist aesthetics. Emilio Pozzolini has composed most of the soundtracks.
