Moving memories

Pamela Cuadros

The interactive sound installation is hidden in an old suitcase with 5 drawers, each containing different objects, travel references, memories and documents. By opening these sliding doors, sounds are activated, changed and mixed. These recordings consist of ambient noises and voices, which visitors can use to create their own soundscapes.

Pamela Cuadros is a Chilean visual artist, set and lighting designer. Her early work in Mexico and Chile focussed on image projections and motion tracking as stage design for dance performances. Later, in Germany, she created several interactive installations, curated multimedia exhibitions and most recently designed audiowalks for urban spaces in Berlin.
