Dreaming the Future of Experimental & Art-Games Events

This is a closed door session with limited capacity, aimed at people currently involved in the field or intending to join it. If you want to come write to us at hello@nowplaythis.net telling us about your relation with the scene and why would you like to join. 

This session invites curators, event producers, community leaders, and those who run creative and production spaces for games and art to come together for an open conversation and brainstorming session. The goal is to reflect on the current state of these spaces and imagine their possible futures. An invitation to explore sustainable and lasting models that nurture the different communities, provide room for experimentation, foster connections, and offer visibility, all without burning out in the constant struggle for funding and negotiation.

By sharing experiences, successes, and failures, we aim to learn from one another and consider alternative approaches that may not yet have been fully explored. In the spirit of folk games, this session is about strengthening our networks and rewriting the rules for a more sustainable and supportive future.
