We are on the hunt for a new producer to join the Now Play This team!
Now Play This is an annual festival of experimental game design which takes place at Somerset House every April as part of the London Games Festival, bringing together people using games and play as part of the cultural conversation. We’re recruiting a new part time producer to help us put on this year’s festival.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with the Creative Director and Exec Producer, co-ordinating artists and speakers for the festival programme.
- Participating in gathering and problem-solving install requirements, promotional content
- Managing contracting and RAMS
- Working with our partners at Somerset House and London Games Festival to coordinate activities including press, ticketing and production support.
- Day to day management of site team including install of large scale outdoor activities, facilitators, and staff
- Participating in wrap-up and documentation including exhibition reports and reporting to funders
Day rate of £230/day – starting part time in January 2025, working up to full time late March and early April to coincide with the festival. Plus some days post-festival working on wrap-up and development towards 2026.
Key skills and experience:
- experience in festival or exhibition production
- strong organisational and project management skills
- used to working in small teams, often remotely
- able to speak the language of cultural institutions, artists and game-makers
- have a strong interest in experimental games and interactive art and culture.
A great candidate will be based in or near London and would be interested in ongoing work with the festival as we develop programming and fundraise for future years
